Carmen Finegan

Hello, I’m Carmen. I was born in Colombia in 1978, and I received my master’s in Architecture from the Pontifical Xaverian University in Bogotá. I am a member of AIA and NCARB and have over 15 years of experience in the field. I work out of Sun Valley, Idaho where I love my mountain life with my husband, son and daughter.

I want to give you a sense of my style and values: through my practice, I aspire to create built environments that enhance the lives of occupants and passersby. My designs are characterized by clean lines, simple forms and a strong presence. I foster comforting spaces by designing at a human proportioned scale. My style, almost minimalist, is reflected in my projects, and it is important to me that I never sacrifice function for style. I have an eye for problem solving, so extensive remodeling is at the core of my practice right now. My creativity and unique approach is a result of my multicultural education. I am committed to making the often overwhelming process of building and designing a house, a rewarding and enriching journey through open communication and a simplified process.

Lastly, I have collaborated with Architectural Resources Sun Valley (ARSV) since 2010 on several projects ranging from large residential and commercial projects to smaller installments. These projects span from remodels and additions to new construction, and they often involve the skillful coordination of interior furnishings, cabinetry, lighting and appliances to meet every expectation.

That’s me!
